Runes is an ancient alphabet that was mainly used by the Germanic tribes before the arrival of the Roman Empire and the Latin alphabet. After the collapse of the Roman Empire, the runic alphabet was spread throughout Europe by the Vikings which resulted in variations on the alphabet depending upon the geographical location. It finally became settled into a basic alphabet of 24 Runes called the “Futhark” which is the most popular for divinations today. This set contains 25 tumbled stones (24 letters of the Runic alphabet & a blank Rune, often named “Odin”, which represents the “unknown”). Runes are ideal for divination, decision making & communication.
